The Hamlets at Duncan is heavily influenced by the nearby land and community. The aesthetic of our building incorporates the look and feel of the nearby Somenos Marsh. Inside, each of our buildings and individual Hamlets have been named by the local Cowichan First Nations. We are grateful for the warm hospitality both have shown us during our construction and renovation process. The Hamlets at Duncan are enthusiastic active supporters of the Our Cowichan Community Health Network and the Eldercare Project in Cowichan.
We have designed our home to provide the perfect layout to achieve this. Our community has a total of 88 long-term care and 53 independent-living suites that are divided into five smaller neighbourhoods called “Hamlets”. Each Hamlet community has its own dining space, recreation areas, and quiet room to provide ample amounts of space but to also encourage connecting as a group.
